Bristol Airport Short Stay & Mid Stay Parking
Short Stay and Mid Stay are Bristol Airport's keep-your-keys, walk-on car parks. Short Stay sits closest to arrivals and departures and suits stays of up to eight days; Mid Stay is a slightly longer walk at a lower rate. Both use ANPR free-flow lanes.
Short Stay parking sits closest to the terminal (an 8-10 minute walk) and suits stays of up to eight days, while Mid Stay is an 8-12 minute walk - both let you keep your keys and come and go as you please.
These are the options to choose when you want flexibility: leave the car, walk to departures, and stay in full control of your vehicle. For trips of three days or more, park-and-ride options like Silver Zone usually cost less per day.
Should I choose Short Stay or Mid Stay?
Choose Short Stay for the closest walk and maximum flexibility, and Mid Stay when you want a lower rate and don't mind a few extra minutes on foot. Both keep you in control of your keys and car. Short Stay is also the better choice for meeting an arriving passenger, because you can leave the car and walk into the terminal.
How much is Short Stay for a few hours?
From 5 January 2026, Short Stay costs £8.50 for up to 15 minutes and £10.50 for 15-30 minutes, rising to £45 for 4-12 hours and £65 up to 24 hours. For a quick goodbye where you stay with the car, the terminal-side Drop & Go or the free Waiting Zone may suit better.
See the full breakdown on the drop-off and pick-up charges page.
Can I use Short Stay to pick someone up?
Yes. Short Stay lets you park, leave the car, and meet your passenger in Arrivals, unlike Drop & Go where you must stay with the vehicle. Take a ticket at the barrier and pay at a pay station or the exit before you leave.
